Position Description:

As a merchandising analyst, you will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans that drive sales and profitability of a specific product line. You will work closely with merchandising, marketing, finance and operations teams to develop and execute merchandise strategies that maximize profitability throughout the entire supply chain.

Responsibilities include forecasting demand and inventory levels, analyzing current trends, examining competitive products and pricing, and making recommendations on assortment, pricing and promotional activity. You will make recommendations on new products or changes to existing ones.

You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication skills to effectively communicate your ideas and vision. You should know how to analyze data and understand the retail environment. You need to be able to identify opportunities, anticipate problems and develop solutions quickly. Customer needs and buying behavior should be understood by you.

You should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business. You should have at least three years of experience in a similar role, as well as knowledge of business analysis techniques, such as regression and predictive modeling.
